2022 Walks on the seabed in Jersey
Join us for a walk on the seabed to Seymour Tower in Jersey in 2022.
We have also uploaded dates of our walks to Icho Tower, Seaweed foraging and Oyster trails.
Our Bioluminescence walks to explore the seabed at night to search for glowing worms are also listed. These walks are extremely popular, and advance booking is strongly advised. We walk in small groups, and the best nights to discover the glowing worms occur only a few nights each month.
Monthly Moonlight walks to Seymour Tower commencing on 14 April. This walk is sometimes called a “Moonwalk” to Seymour tower.
The southeast coast of Jersey has the largest rocky intertidal area in Europe. When the ocean recedes, you can walk almost 2 miles from land. Only a few dates are listed for Seymour and Icho Towers (Two Towers walk) and Karame beacon (Walk to the end of Jersey). This is because there are not many very low tides in 2022. It’s best to take a day off work and book one of the listed dates unless you want to wait until 2023 and 2024!
Private walks can sometimes be arranged if the tides are low enough.
